Planned Giving

For over 140 years, Toronto City Mission (TCM) has relied on God’s transformational power to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty.

Today, TCM is accomplishing this mission through:

  • Prevention Programs – Equipping children and youth to make wise choices

  • Relationships – Modelling Jesus to lead others to find hope in Jesus Christ

  • Leadership Building – Mentoring youth to be leaders in the community

ENSURING THAT THE GOSPEL WILL CONTINUE TO GO FORTH

Despite popular belief, Toronto City Mission receives no government funding for its priority needs. We rely solely on the generosity of our donors to continue the care of children impacted by poverty, both materially and spiritually. You can make sure families affected by poverty will continue to hear and be given the opportunity to respond to the Gospel, through a gift in your will. As teens growing up in poverty become Christians, help protect their new faith and give them the best opportunity to succeed.

Putting Toronto City Mission in our Wills

Ken and Miriam Little included TCM in their wills.

Ken and Miriam Little included TCM in their wills.

It is my privilege to have been involved with Toronto City Mission (TCM) for many years. I am presently serving on the board of directors as the chair. Having this role allows me to understand, in depth, the important ministry of TCM and to see the hope brought to children and families impacted by poverty.

TCM has stayed true to its calling to share the love of Jesus with the disadvantaged throughout the city of Toronto. Since 1879, (as of 2020, that is 141 years!), the staff of TCM have cared for, prayed for, provided practical help and encouragement to children and families. There has been no mission drift and that is remarkable.

This steadfastness over the years is very encouraging and is one of the main reasons that my wife and I decided to put TCM into our wills. If TCM has been faithful for over 140 years, then we have every confidence that TCM will continue to share the hope and love of Jesus well into the future.
