Outreach Worker - Teacher
Outreach Worker: Full-Time (24 hours a week with opportunity to increase)
The Role Model Moms program aims to equip moms at least 18 years old who have not completed their high school education. We provide academic tutoring, confidence, and life skills necessary to successfully pass the high school equivalency exam and increase their employment opportunities. Thus helping meet their family’s needs. Mothers, especially ones with young children, are no strangers to a hectic schedule; Role Model Moms offers free on-site childcare services for students in the class, allowing the moms to recharge and give more attention to their academics.
Objective
To lead and revitalize the Role Model Moms program in Victoria Village Community, ministering to mothers to achieve their high school equivalency, enhance life skills, and experience the hope of the Gospel through holistic support and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, oversee and mentor childcare staff, interns, and volunteers, fostering their spiritual growth and professional development
Oversee program operations to ensure effective teaching and engagement among staff and volunteers
Develop comprehensive program plans with measurable outcomes and activities
Establish and implement the curriculum and long range plans for the semester
Recruit program participants and assess program readiness
Provide personal and spiritual mentoring to program participants
Foster partnerships with local organizations and churches to expand program reach and support
Facilitate connections with expert agencies for additional participant needs
Cultivate community leaders through program initiatives and activities
Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions, and submit monthly reports
Contribute to TCM blog, newsletter, and social media posts
Commit to raising personal support and helping with program sustainability
Requirements
A post-secondary degree or diploma
2+ years related experience in a similar leadership role
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Strong personal spiritual life and commitment to Jesus Christ
Active participation in a local church body
Team player with strong initiative
Proven ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in relational ministry.
Compensation
Salary plus benefits is based on a faith support model. A successful applicant will be required to commit to raising 100% of her salary and gather a personal support team.
