SpikeBack Tournament Rules
Tournament Rules:
All standard FIVB Indoor Volleyball rules apply.
If game time is almost up, game point will be called.
No jump serves allowed at any point in the game.
A server is allowed 5 straight serves, if 5 consecutive serves are achieved the serving team is to rotate positions.
No swearing or fighting allowed at any point. Warning and discipline will be left at the discretion of TCM.
Official referees will not be present, Teams are to adhere to the highest level of sportsmanship.
No arguing is permitted in game towards opposing team or volunteer support. Warnings, discipline and potential removal of a player from the tournament will be left to the discretion of TCM.
In our best efforts to provide a positive playing experience for teams involved, we ask that captains indicate their team playing level upon sign up, the levels and their descriptions are below:
Recreational - No set positions, minimal playing experience, only basic grasp of volleyball rules and play.
Competitive - play with set positions, strong grasp of play and system knowledge
Event Details:
Change rooms and lockers are available, players to bring their own locks.
TCM and Gibson Centre will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items
Food will be available on-site for purchase. Spill-proof water bottles are permitted.
No alcohol or drugs allowed throughout the tournament.
Release, Waiver and Indemnity:
Each participant in the SpikeBack Tournament must read for comprehension and sign a release, waiver, and indemnity form in order to participate. Please make sure the form is completed and signed prior to your arrival at the registration table. This form along with your offline donations will be collected at registration. Find the form here.
