Dear Friends,

It’s the end of the school year. Do you remember as a child, the anticipation of what the summer had in store for you? Perhaps it was the excitement of going away on a family vacation or to an overnight camp. Although this may not be an attainable reality for families impacted by poverty, you can offer them a sense of hope and fun this summer by sending them to TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp.

You can help provide a fun-filled week of Sonshine Day Camp for one child by giving a gift of $100.

Sonshine Day Camp is a free camp for children living in Flemingdon Park, Jesse Ketchum, and Kingston-Galloway. For 7 weeks during the summer children will partake in praise and worship, Bible time, and fun activities.

Monica never listened to the leaders or participated in group activities. Always wanting to do her own thing. However, this all changed when Alana, a TCM Summer intern started spending more time with her by talking and playing with her. Alana saw Monica’s heart for Jesus open as camp went on. At the start of summer, Monica always said she hated Jesus. But as Alana built a relationship with her, we saw evidence of God softened her heart. After a conversation with another intern, Monica said, “I love Jesus now.” God was truly at work in Monica!

There are many children just like Monica who are looking for positive relationships that lead to true transformation. By sending a child to Sonshine Day Camp you will provide opportunities for God’s transformative power to build loving relationships between a camper and their leader that bring hope to children like Monica.

By making a one-time gift of $100, you will help send a child to camp for a week. Your partnership will continue to build meaningful relationships where the message of the gospel can be shared. We also invite you to pray for the campers, leaders, summer interns, and staff who will be part of Sonshine Day Camp 2022.
