YOUR FUNDRAISING STORY TEMPLATE
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, I will be participating in a softball tournament to Strikeout Poverty. My goal is to raise $250* [Note: You can pick your own amount so you can raise more if you want!], which will send 1 child impacted by poverty to Toronto City Mission’s (TCM) programs for one week.
Every $250 raised will help provide programs after school or day camps during March Break and summer for one child so that they can participate in positive, interactive, and fun-filled activities throughout the year.
With your gift, families that do not have the financial means can send their child to TCM's after school programs and Day Camps at no cost. The children and youth will participate in preventative programs that create a sense of belonging, help them develop a love for learning, acquire life and leadership skills, and also hear and experience the love of Christ.
TCM is a non-profit organization that, through God’s transformational power, builds loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty in high priority communities in Toronto. One out of four children in Toronto are living in poverty, TCM desires that each child and their families will find hope through Jesus Christ. TCM believes in training, teaching and mentoring whole families to become leaders in their own communities.

All donations $20 or more will be issued a receipt by email. Ensure your supporters includes their name and email address on the pledge forms.

Waiver
Each member of your team must carefully read and sign a release, waiver and indemnity form in order to participate in the tournament. Each member must sign this form or they will not be permitted to participate in the Strikeout Poverty. Click here to download and print this form. Team Captains, please bring all the forms to registration.
Participants ages 16 and 17 must have a parent/guardian sign the form here on their behalf.
