Strikeout Poverty Tournament Rules
Tournament Rules:
Participants must be age 16 years old and older with a signed waiver. (16-17 years must have guardian consent)
Minimum of 3 women fielding at a time
No more than 3 men batting in a row
Self pitch 3 pitches only
The Homerun “One Up Rule”: for all fields and for all games, the “One Up Rule” is in effect
Teams may only hit a maximum of +1 home runs relative to their opponent’s home run totals
Any batter that hits a home run for a team that is already +1 in home runs will immediately be declared out. Runners cannot advance
If a team is -1 in home runs relative to their opponent, that team may hit two consecutive home runs, moving them from -1, to even, to +1
No sliding allowed at any bases
Home plate and commitment line in effect
Pitcher safety net will be used in every game
150 ft outfield line in effect
Safety bag rule in effect
No drinking, smoking or foul language as this is a Christian fundraising event
Release, Waiver and Indemnity:
Each participant in the Strikeout Tournament must read for comprehension and sign a release, waiver, and indemnity form in order to participate. Please make sure the form is completed and signed prior to your arrival at the registration table. This form along with your offline donations will be collected at registration. Find the form here.
