Read MoreEven my whole time in Canada is coming to an end. And that means I have to start to say goodbye to people which became pretty important to me (But I will not leave without saying how grateful and thankful I am for my time with TCM. It was such a pleasure and blessing to work and serve our God with TCM together.) Now that my time to leave is getting closer and closer, I´m getting more anxious about returning.
Read MoreThe theme of this year's summer camp is the Kingdom of God. During the preparation of my bible lesson for our kids, I studied different parables about the Kingdom of God. One that particularly stood out to me was the parable of the mustard seed. I love this parable because it reminded me once again that we are planting seeds in the hearts of the TCM children so that God can grow them in their faith.

What I had was my sheer determination to be part of the social service and welfare workforce in the future and continue in Social Work which was my profession back home.

Read MoreThis semester, we are exploring the book of Mark with our youth and trying to delve into the question of "Who is Jesus?" From what they know, they mentioned he was the Son of God, a friend, the person who died and rose again, someone who performed miracles, and a teacher.
Read MoreAs 2022 ended, I reflected upon all the incredible things God showed me in the past year. I learned that Sonshine Day Camp is my absolute favourite season, He reminded me that I love teaching the kids the Bible, and He even pointed out that I need to be better in the kitchen through our cooking activities.
Read MoreWhen I was a child, this story was read to me once and it has accompanied me on my journey through life ever since. Even though it is not a story from the Bible, it perfectly illustrates that God is journeying with us, no matter what life situation we find ourselves in.
Read MoreI have been with Toronto City Mission (TCM) for 4 months and have been helping at the Kingston-Galloway and Jesse Ketchum locations. During my time at TCM, I have been holding on to this Bible verse where Jesus tells us we should trust God and that nothing should shake our faith.

Read MoreThis school year the children who attend the Toronto City Mission after school “Kids in Community” program will learn about many of God’s wonderful promises made to us. One such important promise is that God is the provider of rest.
Read MoreTo make a covenant would mean to make a promise that tied you and another’s mortality to the survival of both of your integrity; this is the extremity and gravity to the covenant-making process shown to us in the Old Testament. The covenant God makes with Abram has always been my favourite.
Read MoreThis school year, we are excited to be sharing with the children and youth about God’s promises. As we go through the Old Testament and into the Gospels, we want them to know that they can trust God to keep His promises in accordance to His will.
