Yesterday and Today and Forever

Even my whole time in Canada is coming to an end. And that means I have to start to say goodbye to people which became pretty important to me (But I will not leave without saying how grateful and thankful I am for my time with TCM. It was such a pleasure and blessing to work and serve our God with TCM together.) Now that my time to leave is getting closer and closer, I´m getting more anxious about returning.

Kingdom of God

The theme of this year's summer camp is the Kingdom of God. During the preparation of my bible lesson for our kids, I studied different parables about the Kingdom of God. One that particularly stood out to me was the parable of the mustard seed. I love this parable because it reminded me once again that we are planting seeds in the hearts of the  TCM children so that God can grow them in their faith.

Trust God!

I have been with Toronto City Mission (TCM) for 4 months and have been helping at the Kingston-Galloway and Jesse Ketchum locations. During my time at TCM, I have been holding on to this Bible verse where Jesus tells us we should trust God and that nothing should shake our faith.

David versus Me

The story of David began at a time when the Israelites saw that other folks had a king and realized that they didn't have a King but wanted one too. They wanted a good leader after all the drama that happened before (in the book of judges). Even though they had God as their King, it wasn’t enough for them. They started to compare God to the other Kings and began to compare what they wanted of a king.
