Where is Hope?
By Esther, Outreach Worker in Kingston-Galloway
We talk about hope all the time at TCM. A couple days ago, for a brief moment, I didn't see any of it. I was at a fenced-in park with the kids, surrounded by buildings with balconies overlooking the park. A mom of a child on one of the balconies started screaming at one of the children. The mom swore endlessly as she told this little girl how she shouldn't be swearing at her daughter. A couple other people who were on their balconies joined in the unnecessary drama. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I sighed, looked around at the people standing and yelling from their balconies and thought - this is hopeless. It was also in that moment where I was reminded of how great our God is and what He is able to do. Things that seems impossible to me will be possible through Him. These children, their families, and this community are in His hands. There is hope through Jesus. I am reminded that I need more faith.
If there's anything you feel hopeless about in your lives, be encouraged that our God loves you and is working in you. Don't give up
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
