Making it Personal
By Dorothy Wong, Manager of Partner Relations
It has been almost two months since I have had the privilege of meeting the five grade 7 girls in St. James Town's Junior Extreme. I am learning about their different personalities, quirks, fears, and desires. It is such a joy for them to share their lives with me and for me to do the same. I especially enjoy learning more about where they are in their faith journey and what Christ means to them. Last week one of the girls shared how 1 John 1:9 was comforting for her. To know that God forgives her when we she is sorry, is like having a burden lifted from her shoulders. This week, she shared a story of how God was watching over her mom and had a plan for her when she first came to Canada. How wonderful it is that she recognizes the grace that we receive from Christ and the presence of our Lord in our everyday life.
I am so thankful for all the girls that I get to spend time with each Monday evening. Please pray that they will continue to seek to know God and desire a personal relationship with Him.
