Easter Greetings

Dear Friends,

From Ash Wednesday to Good Friday, during the period of Lent we are taken on quite a spiritual journey. It is a time of prolonged reflection, prayer and preparation, as we seek to focus our eyes on the cross and the power of Jesus’ death for the forgiveness of sins. Then finally, on Resurrection (Easter) Sunday, we rejoice in Jesus’ victory over death. Christ is risen!

It is on Easter Sunday that we join centuries of Christians in marking this day as the day that changed the world! Together we celebrate the glorious truth that although Jesus was dead, He rose again and was victorious through His resurrection! This Easter Sunday, it is our prayer that each of us will genuinely and delightfully celebrate our Risen Saviour! Because of Easter Sunday, our lives have forever been changed. We have been transformed and given new life.

As we mark the first year anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic, I hope and trust that you have kept safe and well during these chaotic and unprecedented times. Thank you for your continued concerns, support and prayers for the ministry of Toronto City Mission. Our desire is that this Easter will provide hope and peace and a sense of optimism during these uncertain times.

On behalf of the staff of Toronto City Mission, we mourn with you our Saviour’s death (Friday), and celebrate His resurrection!

Friends, may you experience a joyful and celebratory Easter!

Also, please be on the look out for a video that will be posted on Friday! An Easter video that will be featuring the drawings of children whom participate in our weekly programs!

Peace of Christ,

Your friends at Toronto City Mission
