Oh Happy Day

During our KIC program today, the kids were more rowdy, tired, and grumpy. Perhaps it's because it was a Wednesday, but in any case, they were more tired and unenthusiastic especially during worship time. I was pretty discouraged because I was teaching them a few new songs, but they seemed disinterested - yet just the previous day, they were all so joyful and energetic in praising God. After one of our volunteers shared their testimony to the kids, it was time for games. I thought all them would want to play outside because of the nice weather, but half of them wanted to play inside. As I was getting ready to head out, I saw one of the older boys quietly reading an action Bible by himself and that honestly brightened up my whole day. Despite the discouragements and chaos, I was so blessed to see one of our kids seeking more of the Word. He has always been attentive during Bible time while asking a handful of questions. I hope and pray to see this young boy grow up to be a man of faith and example just as he is doing now.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12).
