Sonshine Day Camp (Spring Break Edition)
During the week of April 12th - 16th, TCM held virtual Sonshine Day Camps across all communities. It was a time where children, youth, and Outreach Workers were able to learn about the bible, participate in different activities and play games! In addition to camp for the children, Outreach Workers organized, youth nights which included an evening where the youth from all communities came together to play games! It was a great time to spend with one another.
At Flemingdon Park, children enjoyed time in praise and worship! They learned all about community and what it means for iron to sharpen iron (Proverbs 27:17)! They enjoyed games and activities like the spicy noodle challenge! Many of them couldn’t handle the heat, they were drinking loads of water after each bite!
At Kingston-Galloway, the kids conducted several science experiments like making slime, colouring a flower with food colouring, making structures, and baking! They learned about the story of Ruth and Naomi and what it means to remain faithful!
At Willowtree, the children learned various lessons from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, what it means to be patient, kind, thankful, humble, and honest. They participated in arts and crafts, making kindness flags, and humility handkerchiefs. They even made hot chocolate!
