Gratitude
By Dave Addison (Executive Director)
In this my first blog post, I want to express my gratitude.
I’m thankful for the privilege to lead the Toronto City Mission. I’m reminded daily that I am called to be a servant leader. I’m called to serve the staff, our outreach communities, and most importantly, to serve God.
I’m grateful for Toronto City Mission’s vibrant 135 year history. TCM has served thousands of children, youth and families across Toronto. Its focus on preventative and proactive programs has an effect on generations to come.
I feel privileged as parents let us become a part of their children’s lives. We get to walk with them through life’s good times and its struggles. As we build relationships with these families, we have the ultimate joy of watching God’s transformative power.
Most of all, I’m grateful to a merciful Lord who never left my side even as I wandered in the wilderness. By His grace, I live a life where role and soul are one. Even while facing worldly challenges, my life is one filled with a peace and joy found only through a loving relationship with our Lord and Saviour.
Praise God!
