Water Painting Tutorial | Jin | #30DaysofSonshine

Today, Jin will be teaching us how to make an ocean painting. This summer, she was supposed to serve as a summer intern in our Flemingdon Park community for Sonshine Day Camp. Although she is not able to engage with the community in person this year, she wanted to take this opportunity to connect and share a painting tutorial with us! Painting is a hobby that she enjoys and she hopes that you will enjoy it as well. 

What you will need:

  • Canvas

  • Blue and white paint

  • Small paint brush

  • Large paint brush

With these tools, you will need to follow these simple steps:

  1. Cover canvas in light blue paint

  2. Make medium blue paint

  3. Paint medium blue blobs

  4. Make dark blue paint

  5. Paint dark blue blobs

  6. Paint white blob outlines

  7. Thicken white blob outlines

  8. Bonus step: Fill in small spaces and round edges
