New Season: New Staff, New Site

Hi my name is Felicia and I am one of the newest additions to the TCM team. I am very excited to have an opportunity to begin children and youth programming in the Flemingdon Park- Victoria Village community where I live. I have had various opportunities over the past few years to work with children and youth from various communities impacted by poverty, and it is something that I really love to do.  Beyond just programming, children and youth love to know that there are people (more than their family) who believe in them, and really care for them, and that is something that I am very passionate about.

I really believe that Flemingdon Park will greatly benefit from our program and I can’t wait to see all that God does through it. We are planning our launch in October 2014, and we will be focusing on children from grades one through six. It is our desire that through building relationships with families and other organizations in the community over the summer, that we will get children who are from both Christian and non-Christian backgrounds, so that we can share the love of Christ with them.

Throughout the summer, we will be looking forward to interacting with children and their parents, with the hope that they will feel comfortable in enrolling in the program. We will also be doing walks around the community to really continue to pray and discern what God wants to do, and how we can come into partnership with his heart for Flemingdon Park this coming fall. Please pray for us as all the details will be coming together over the next few weeks leading up to the launch!
