Yesterday and Today and Forever
Wow! It's already July! My time with TCM and also at Kingston-Galloway (KG) is almost over. Even my whole time in Canada is coming to an end. And that means I have to start to say goodbye to people which became pretty important to me (But I will not leave without saying how grateful and thankful I am for my time with TCM. It was such a pleasure and blessing to work and serve our God with TCM together.)
Now that my time to leave is getting closer and closer, I´m getting more anxious about returning.
Going back to my home country of Germany, family, friends, old work, church, and everything I used to know so well, feels kind of foreign to me, after 11 months of being away.
I was used to being so close with my friends and family in Germany. And right now my people in Canada have become my new family and friends. Everything here in Canada feels secure and like home. And when I leave and move to a new city for my further study, I will face another change - new people and a totally NEW unknown. Everything will change and be new again.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. – Hebrews 13:8
There's nothing that will last forever, besides God.
But there's one that will always stay the same. No matter where I am. No matter what I´m going through. No matter what my circumstances look like. No matter how close or far my relationship with Him is. He will stay the same as yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
God is faithful. He is my only Constant in life. I have realized that God gives me security and comfort that no one else can. Knowing that God is with me no matter where I´m going, is such a blessing and helps me to look forward to everything that will come. Helps me to look forward to the unknown.
I hope and pray that the kids and families TCM serves, TCM Staff and everyone else can trust, believe, and rely on God, our Lord in times of insecurity, anxiousness, or the unknown. That they will know that He will stay with them always. He is with you and will never leave you. He wants to be your Constant in life!
I'm so thankful that we have a God who is merciful, gracious, patient, loving, and faithful. And one who longs for a personal relationship with us.
We are so blessed, dear brothers and sisters! I hope all of us can see and feel that new, every day.
Be blessed!
