As Christmas approaches, we remember the children and families in Toronto who have been impacted by poverty. Please consider a financial gift in partnership with Toronto City Mission to gather families together for a meal, a time of friendship, and the opportunity for each child to continue participating in Kids in Community (KIC). KIC is an after-school program designed for kids in grades 1 to 6 to spend their time in a safe environment engaged in positive activities. We build relationships with the kids through songs, games, Bible time, and homework help.

Hi friends! On October 16th, I'll be participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon. I'll be running 21k for Toronto City Mission's Kingston Galloway kiddies! I'm collecting school supplies to gift KG's Kids in Community program! The Lord graciously taught me so much about discipline and grace this past summer while interacting with the children in this community, which I will need a whole lot of for this run lol.... You can help by giving school supplies or money so I can put together a collection of these supplies to help their program. Any support will mean so much!! Holla at me for more details thanks!!! #torontocitymission #torontoscotiabankmarathon
Eighteen months ago I ran my first 10K and I used that opportunity to raise awareness and financial support for Toronto City Mission (TCM). Thanks to the generosity of friends like you, we raised over $1,600!
The need to serve those who are less fortunate hasn't decreased over the past eighteen months, and TCM continues to do great work around the city. This coming weekend (Oct 16) I'm upping the ante, and will run in my first half marathon. I want to use this opportunity to again raise financial support for TCM.
My goal this time is to raise $2100. Your inner mathematician will realize that this is $100 per kilometer. It might be a challenge given there are only days to go...but friends like you gave with such enthusiasm last time that I'm sure we can hit the goal this time around. And speaking from experience, having a group of you support my race will give me extra motivation to complete the run! It's a win-win!
For this race I'm aiming to finish in under 2 hours. Wish me luck!
