Spring Highlights 2022

Jesse Ketchum Launch

In late January of this year, Jesse Ketchum started programs in partnership with Stone Church. Serving as Outreach Workers in the community are Karen Hirji and Michael Yoon. Jesse Ketchum is located in downtown Toronto and currently offers KIC (Kids in Community). On May 26th, Jesse Ketchum will be celebrating its official launch with the community! Praise God for His provision in launching programs! We are so excited to see what God has in store for the community and invite you to pray for the work that is and will be done in the Jesse Ketchum community.

Easter

For Easter this year, the children of Toronto City Mission learned about Christ’s sacrifice at the cross through coloured jelly beans. Each colour represents an important part of God’s story on humanity. After learning what each colour represented, the children were given two bags of jelly beans. One to keep and one to give to a friend to share the meaning of Easter. What a great way for children to share the Gospel! The children also participated in a video about the Jellybean Prayer. If you’d like to watch the video, please click here or in the video above.

Sparking Hope in our City

During the month of April, Toronto City Mission held ‘Sparking Hope in the City’ virtual sharing nights. The nights were filled with stories of hope, praise, and how God has been working in the lives of the families of TCM. It was also a time where Sparks were able to learn about the impact that they are making in bringing hope to families impacted by poverty.
